Web Design Process
When it comes to building a website, it helps to have a process to follow. Good guidelines can help us work better by keeping forgetfulness to a minimum. Every designer or company has their own web design process, but the basics remain the same: learn, plan, design, code, launch and maintain.
The first most important part of the design process is discovering and understanding what we need to build in the first place. This is done by listening to you and asking questions to make sure we understand your wants and needs. Since we can not see what your vision is, we need to you to let us know what you want. This is done either in face-to-face meetings or over the phone. Prefer Media handcrafts each website we make to fit your vision
In some cases, you may not even know what they want, and in other cases, you may have a hard time verbalizing what they have envisioned. The following are some of the questions that we will need to know the answer to.
1. Your target audience- Who do you want to come to your website, and what information will you have on the site.
2. What is your budget
3. When is your deadline
4. Is there a specific design, feel or look that you want for your website.
5. Do you need an online store?
6. Do you have a logo or do you want us to design one for you?
7. Will you need us to host and maintain your site after it is built
8. Do you have a domain name or website already?
